Update to Our Notice of Privacy Practices

Your privacy has always been a top priority in this practice. Beginning February 16, 2026, federal law requires an update to our Notice of Privacy Practices (NPP) to provide more information about how we protect Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment information.

If you receive support related to substance use, your records are protected by both HIPAA and additional federal confidentiality laws that offer extra safeguards.

Here’s what that means for you:

• We will not share your SUD treatment information without your written permission, except in specific situations required or allowed by law.
   
• If you choose to give written permission to share this information, the person or organization receiving it may be permitted to share it again in certain circumstances.
   
• Once information is redisclosed by another party, it may not be protected by the same federal privacy rules.
   
• You can change your mind and revoke your authorization at any time in writing.
